In order to provide such services free of charge, we display advertisements. By using this Personal Information, Colliers is able to deliver more relevant advertisements and content, and hence a better service, to you. HOW DO WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION?

For the purposes of Personal Information protected under the GDPR, Colliers will act as a data controller and will only process your Personal Information for a lawful purpose or where, if directly collected through our Website where we have obtained your consent for the purpose of the collection and processing of that data.

Where we rely on our legitimate interests, this means that we use Personal Information to run our business and to provide the services we have been asked to provide. We only collect information that has been supplied voluntarily, you do not have to provide us with Personal Information.  However, if you do not provide us with information we need by law or require for doing work, we may not be able to offer certain products and services.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

We operate a client relationship management email mailing list program, which we use to inform clients and other contacts about our services, including our publications and events. Such marketing messages may contain tracking technologies in order to track subscriber activity relating to engagement, demographics and other data, and to build subscriber profiles.

If you tell us you wish to attend an event, your name and organisation may appear on a list which we provide to other delegates at the event. We may also take photographs and video of our events, and this may result in your image being captured and used in the course of reporting on the event (e.g. via social media or other means). If you are a GCC Resident and can be expressly identified in such image, we will seek your permission directly before reproducing such image.  Again, you may contact us at mena@colliers.com if you wish to withdraw any consent to have your image at one of our events reproduced in any way.

Kindly note we have procedures in place to ensure the protection of Personal Information. These procedures include putting steps in place to ensure that all such entities keep any Personal Information we collect from you confidential and secure and only use it for the purposes that we have specified and communicated to you. In relation to sharing your data with other Colliers offices around the world and in the Middle East region (currently, in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia) or any other third parties, we will only disclose your information where you have given your consent or where we are required to do so by law or by local authorities, or where it is necessary for the purpose of, or in connection with legal proceedings or in order to exercise or defend legal rights or when Colliers believes in good faith that disclosure is legally required and necessary to protect Colliers’ rights and property.

We may share your Personal Information with our employees and consultants who require it to perform their jobs, organisations that support the products or services we provide to you, anyone you give us permission to share it with or official bodies to detect and prevent criminal activity e.g. money laundering, theft, fraud, terrorism, cybercrime.
